Made in Oklahoma- Jetta Corporation

I’m sure we can all agree that Oklahoma State deserved to play for the BCS National Championship, but we are still very proud of them for winning against Stanford in the Fiesta Bowl. We are also proud to be a home builder that uses materials produced and manufactured in Oklahoma. Not saying there is anything wrong with buying products from Texas, but with so many amazing things about Oklahoma, why give them credit?! ;)

Originally formed in March of 2000, the Made in Oklahoma (MIO) Coalition is a consortium of food manufactures in Oklahoma. MIO Coalition focuses on the marketing and sales of locally owned companies and products. In 2010 – the MIO Coalition membership employed more than 20,000 and more than $700 million in payroll to its employees. The MIO Coalition membership generated more than $3.2 billion in sales; 85 percent of which were sales exported to other states and/or countries.

Throughout the build of our homes, Silver Stone Homes wants to help support locally owned companies. Jetta Corporation (formally known as Jetta Products) is a fine example. This company began in 1981 in the heart of Edmond. Jetta began producing outdoor spas and slowly began its transition to manufacturing whirlpools as a second product line. Within 10 years Jetta had become the first company to insulate and install upper body jets for the neck and shoulder areas. They would soon have over 30 whirlpool bath models in a variety of sizes, shapes and jet conjurations, and we use many of these models throughout our homes.

When we purchase Oklahoma products we are supporting our neighbors, family and the economic welfare of Oklahoma. As our state continues to expand, Silver Stone Homes will continue to support our growing community.
